How to show a promotion badge on product thumbnails ?

What are Promotion Badges?

Promotion badges are small, eye-catching labels that appear directly on your product thumbnails. They highlight special offers like discounts, free gifts, or upsell opportunities, grabbing customer attention and encouraging them to click for more details.

How to Set Up Promotion Badges:

  1. Step 1: Open the Qikify Cart Upsell & Gifts App
  1. Step 2: Enter "Styling & Display" pages (on the navigation)
  2. Step 3: Open "Boost sales widgets" settings and find the checkbox for "Promotion badge." Make sure this box is checked to activate the badges.

Customizing Badge Colors:

The colors of your promotion badges inherit the styling of your offer primary buttons. To change the badge colors:

  1. Step 1: From the "Styling & Display" section (mentioned in step 2), navigate to the "Customize style" settings.
  2. Step 2: Modify the "Primary button background color" and "Primary button text color" to match your desired badge appearance.

Changing Badge Content:

You can customize the text displayed on your promotion badges:
  1. Step 1: Navigate to the "Translations" page.
  2. Step 2: On the "General settings" tab, scroll down and find the "Boost Sale Widget" section.
  3. Step 3: Here, you can edit the content for various promotions using the following options:
    • "Default promotion badge label": This applies to general offers.
    • "Gift with product promotion badge label": This customizes the label for free gift promotions.
    • "Discount toast label": This edits the text for the toast's message which show the content of applied discount status.


Important Note:

Promotion badges only appear on product thumbnails when a relevant offer is available for that specific product. Currently, the app supports badges for these offer types:

  • Cross-sell promotions
  • Upsell promotions
  • Free gift with purchase promotions

By following these steps, you can effectively set up promotion badges to boost your product appeal and increase customer engagement on your Shopify store.
