[Version 2] Volume offer

1. What is Volume offer?

A Volume (Tiered pricing) offer encourages customers to purchase a larger quantity of a product by offering a discount that increases as they buy more (e.g. Buy more, save more).


2. How to setup a Volume offer?

Step 1: Create offer

Let's start creating a new offer by clicking on the "Create Offer" button on Dashboard. It will automatically redirect you to the "Manage offers" tab.  Or you can directly access to "Manage offers" tab through the left sidebar. Choose "Volume discount" and click the "Create" button on the selected offer type.


Step 2: Offer Settings

  1. Offer title and subtitle: 

You can set the title and subtitle for your offer to encourage customers to purchase more.

  1. Show offer at:

           You can decide which page to display the Buy X get Y offer:
    1. Product page: By default, the offer will be triggered as a popup when clicking on the "Add to cart" button on your product page. If you want to embed offer on product page, you can read this article: Embed offer on product page
    2. Checkout page: This feature is an exclusive feature for Shopify Plus stores. This is because to add extra widgets to the Checkout page, your store needs to have checkout extensibility enabled. Currently, Shopify currently only allows this functionality for Shopify Plus plan.
  1. Customer buys:

You will need to select the product you want to trigger the offer.
  1. All products: All products will trigger the offer popup
  2. Collections: All products in the selected collections will trigger the offer popup
  3. Product Tags: All products has selected product tags will trigger the offer popup
  4. Specific products: Select specific products you want to trigger the offer popup (multiple select)

  1. Discount tiers: 

There are two types of discount value: Percentage (discount based on percentage) and Fixed amount (discount based on fixed amount). 

  1. Tier settings:
    1. Title: You can set the title of the tier there.
    2. Min quantity: Minimum number of products customers have to buy to receive the discount.
    3. Discount value: You can set the discount amount here.
    4. Set as a default selected tier: By enabling this option, the tier will be pre-selected for customers.
    5. Discount badge: The badge of the tier, you can leave it blank to hide the badge.
    6. Background color: Background color of the badge.
    7. Text color: Text color of the badge.

  1. Combinations:

If you want to allow customers to use different discounts together, please enable this option. You can select to combine this offer's discount with: Product discounts, Order discounts or Shipping discounts.

  1. Advanced settings:

    1. Allow changing variants of items in each tier: When enabling this feature, you can allow customers to change product variants in the tier
    2. Display conditions: When enabling conditions, the offer will only be displayed when the conditions are met.
    3. Max discount uses: The maximum number of times the discount can be used in total.

  1. Schedule: 

           You can set the date the offer will start and end there.


  1. Enable Countdown: Turn on this option to have a countdown timer in the Sub-title. You can also customize the the countdown position in Sub-title section.

  1. Extras:

  1. Discount badge: Here you can set up the badge for your offer item.

    1. Customer eligibility: You can select specific customers or customer segments that can use this discount.


Notes
For your information, all offers, includng those with specific customer eligibility, will be visible to all customers. This is because these offers are designed for upselling and need to be seen by everyone. When customers log in or enter their email on the Checkout page, only then will Shopify check the segment and check whether the discount is eligible or not.

Step 3: Save Settings

Once you've finished all the steps, click on the "Save" button on the top right corner or "Save Offer" button on the bottom right of the page. Your offer is now created!
